AGRC is in its 8th decade of providing housing for retirees. The property has the potential for more housing geared to seniors’ needs and geriatric standards.
Good stewardship and need for housing in the Golden Horseshoe area have sparked planning to redevelop the property to build homes for retirees and others. The project is being guided by Kindred Works, the asset manager of the United Church Resource Corporation.
New housing will include not less than 41 units of affordable, “aging-in-place” rental housing for retired personnel of The United Church of Canada. Transitional housing for current residents will be provided during the redevelopment period. Other seniors’ housing units are expected to be available for rent to the general public
